The Wentworth Freestyle is run by Ski Wentworth as a separate Club, focused on athlete and coach development, safety, fun and progression for all levels from recreational to competitive athletes. Wentworth Freestyle offers three levels of programming in line with the Long Term Athlete Development model.
Fundamentalz is an 8 week program for athletes 6-10.
Freestylerz/Development is a 10 week program for ages 10-15.
High Performance is a year round invite/qualification only program for athletes wishing to compete on the National Stage.

One of Canada’s most highly certified coaches, and coach developer. Coach Thor has been involved in freestyle skiing at Ski Wentworth for over 20 years as both an athlete and a coach. Under his coaching leadership, Ski Wentworth athletes have achieved Canadian Junior and Senior titles. Thor was the head coach of the 2011, 2015, 2019, Nova Scotia Canada Games teams and currently works with the High Performance Athletes.

Mackenzie has been a solid addition to the Wentworth Freestyle Coach staff after completing the month long Freestyle Canada Super Coach program. Mackenzie works as a Development advanced coach and assistant High performance coach helping Wentworth Freestyle athletes pursue greatness.

Cam Anderson worked his way through the Wentworth Freestyle program first as an athlete and now as an up and coming coach. Coach Cam works with the Development athletes on trampoline, airbag, and on snow, and is often referred to as the nicest coach ever!

Jessica is a Development coach and has been involved in freestyle skiing since joining the Wentworth Freestyle program as a young athlete. Jess has many years of experience traveling across Canada to training camps, events, and has competed for Team Nova Scotia in the Canada Winter Games. Jessica has taken her passion for freestyle and directed it towards coaching and helping young athletes progress. Jessica is an excellent role model, especially to the young up and coming females in our sport
Off Season Training & Camps
Once enrolled in a WF program, athletes are encouraged to participate in off season training and camps. This includes: Airbag, Trampoline, Dryland Training and On-Snow Training Camps. Details on dates an pricing will be available through the Wentworth Freestyle Facebook page or by request.
Trampoline/Dryland Training
Trampoline is a 10 week program offered at the Titans Gymnastics Club in Dartmouth. This is an essential part of freestyle ski training and highly recommended by coaches for all development and competitive athletes.

On-Snow Training Camps
WF typically offers a pre and post-season on-snow training camp in Quebec annually
WORLD CLASS FACILITIES & VENUES
Ski Wentworth has three terrain parks, big air site, skier/boarder cross track, and a year round airbag training site.
Freestyle Canada Membership
All members of Wentworth Freestyle athletes must belong to the Freestyle Canada. The Freestyle Canada membership fee is not included in the price of the program. Lift tickets and/or season passes, Airbag passes, are not included in the program price.
